Practicing

One aspect of my life path is the opportunity to learn from the trees. Some of my earliest memories are of the trees, and the trees and plants have been accompanying me on my journey, helping me to be at home in my body and here on Mother Earth. In my experience, practicing, listening, is the most powerful way that we human beings have for coming into harmony with ourselves and life here on Earth. I find that I need to practice and be reminded moment-to-moment in order to appreciate life and be grateful and to bring about the changes in my life that I intend, so that I may come into greater service and harmony with all of life. In 2012, I officially began studying and practicing Shamanic Herbalism, connecting through breathing and asking practices with the trees and plants. Since then, I’ve worked with a plant or tree guide for a year or more at a time to connect, ask, receive wisdom and guidance, and give gratitude almost daily. More recently, I’ve been working with the ocean as my teacher, through similar breathing and asking practices. Other ways that I practice are through meditation, prosperity practices including saying affirmations, intentions, and gratitudes daily, singing grace before meals, and making mindful choices in my life.
